# When SyntheticFi wins new business

The five prospect scenarios that close fastest.

{% hint style="info" %}

## Look for prospects already borrowing or about to

SyntheticFi wins fastest with prospects refinancing an existing loan, leaving a wirehouse SBLOC, planning a mortgage, borrowing against appreciated assets, or funding a business or deal. Each has a clear dollar-savings story you can run in the first meeting.
{% endhint %}

These are five of the most common situations where SyntheticFi creates an obvious, easy-to-close win. There are plenty of others (lifestyle purchases, bridge loans, opportunistic investing), but these five come up most and have the cleanest math.

### The five scenarios

1. **Loan refinance.** Any prospect with an outstanding margin loan, SBLOC, HELOC, or high-rate personal loan. Show them the rate difference, run the savings, and the pitch closes itself.
2. **Wirehouse SBLOC refi.** A common case: the prospect has an SBLOC at Morgan Stanley, UBS, Merrill, or another wirehouse and is unhappy with the rate or service. SyntheticFi usually saves them meaningfully and adds tax deductibility, a strong reason to move their assets to you.
3. **Mortgage planning**. Prospects buying a home, especially jumbo buyers above the mortgage interest deduction cap (currently $750K). SyntheticFi can supplement or replace the mortgage at a lower rate with generally deductible interest.
4. **Buy-borrow-die planning.** Prospects with large appreciated portfolios who want to fund their lifestyle without realizing capital gains. SyntheticFi can be a lower-cost, tax-efficient way for them to borrow.\*
5. **Business owners and real estate investors.** Prospects who need fast, flexible liquidity for operations or deals. No credit check or traditional underwriting, and often a lower rate than a bank line.\*

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://advisorhub.syntheticfi.com/working-with-prospects-learn-more/when-syntheticfi-wins-new-business.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
